Apparently, there is a link (in some people) between certain bacteria in saliva and the occurrence of stroke.

Because of left-side deficits, I am not able to floss in the normal fashion. I use intraoral brushes, which I can do using a single hand. I also use a battery-powered toothbrush and a manual toothbrush. I follow that with a WaterPik and antibacterial mouthwash. Poor oral hygiene can affect brain and heart health.
